Therefore Kumbum Monastery become the origin of the Tibetan religious holy places. Kumbum Monastery had expanded several times, Total the Daikin watts Temple, Xiaojin watts Temple, Flower Temple, Great Hall, nine Hall, big Lalang, and other buildings. There are a total of more than 1,000 seats courtyard, over 4500 temples shag, palace, binding living temple, learning by the Church, Palace and Lama buildings.

Kumbum Monastery are known as the butter sculpture, murals and Duixiu. The construction of the temple covers the Han palace with Tibetan flat top style.
